STEP 1: Check Insurance Benefits To Make Sure You’re Covered

Remind the doctor’s staff and the specialty pharmacy to investigate both pharmacy and medical benefits. You can also contact a Janssen CarePath Care Coordinator to assist you with your benefits investigation. Call Janssen CarePath at 877-CarePath (877-227-3728), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.

STEP 2: Learn About Medication Savings

If you use commercial or private health insurance to pay for your medication, you may enroll in the Janssen CarePath Savings Program. Eligible patients using commercial or private insurance can save on out-of-pocket medication costs for STELARA®. Depending on the health insurance plan, savings may apply toward co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible.

Paying for STELARA®

At Janssen, we don’t want cost to get in the way of treatment you need. We can help you explore options to lower your out-of-pocket cost for STELARA®. No matter what type of insurance you have – or even if you don’t have insurance – Janssen CarePath can help explain your medication insurance coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs and help find programs that may help you pay for STELARA®.

STEP 3: Start On Your Treatment Schedule (the steps to get to your first dose)

A) Order Dose
When the specialty pharmacy calls you, provide them with your payment information, your Janssen CarePath Savings Program information (if applicable), and confirm the delivery location and timing of your delivery.

B) Schedule Dose
Ensure you have an appointment with your doctor to receive your first dose (a couple of days after your prescription is scheduled to be delivered).

You and your doctor have chosen STELARA® as a treatment. As you continue on your journey, it’s important for you to stay on your medication schedule as your doctor prescribed in order to see results.
