STELARA® (ustekinumab) for Active Psoriatic Arthritis Treatment

The right treatment might help you with your joint and skin symptoms. STELARA® is an FDA-approved therapy that treats and helps control the main symptoms of psoriatic arthritis.

Do you experience one or more of the 4 key signs of PsA?

  • JOINT Swollen or tender joints
  • PSORIATIC PLAQUES Raised, red, scaly patches on the skin
  • ENTHESITIS Swelling at the place where the tendon attaches to the bone
  • DACTYLITIS Swelling that runs the entire length of fingers or toes, sometimes known as “sausage digits”

Have joint and skin symptoms? They might be related

If you’ve received a psoriasis diagnosis and are now experiencing any or all of the other signs on the list, you may have psoriatic arthritis. The sooner you’re able to pinpoint your symptoms and share them all with your rheumatologist, the easier it will be to find a treatment.

STELARA® is a prescription medicine approved to treat adults and children 6 years and older with active psoriatic arthritis. FDA-approved to help control the four key signs of PsA, STELARA® needs to be administered four times a year (after two starter doses)* — less than any other PsA treatment of its kind. Ask your doctor or rheumatologist how STELARA® can help.

*STELARA® is a 0.75 mg/kg, 45 mg, or 90 mg injection given under the skin as directed by your doctor at weeks 0 and 4, and every 12 weeks thereafter. It is administered by a healthcare provider or self-injected only after proper training.

With one medication, you may be able to control both the joint and skin symptoms of psoriatic arthritis. STELARA® targets an overactive immune system and is the only biologic that works by blocking two proteins, IL-23 and IL-12, which may play a role in psoriatic arthritis. By blocking these proteins, STELARA® may help reduce the inflammation that causes both the joint and skin symptoms.
